Added July 2018: I started this journal partly to help me remember things, and partly because some friends had shown interest in discussing Star Trek. That second goal never materialized, and that made me question whether the amount of effort I spend on these entries is worth my time. I decided to continue anyway, because I was already most of the way through the first season, and I hate to leave things unfinished.
Having thought about it some more, I have realized that this journal seems to be beneficial in another way, too: I have always struggled with expressing abstract ideas, and this has been good practice, and I think I have gotten better at it. So, from this point on, I intend to do it as a mental exercise.
Original bio:
I started this journal for the purpose of keeping track of my thoughts on TV shows I watch, because my memory is dreadful. A friend of mine wanted to talk about Star Trek, and I could not remember any of what I had wanted to say. I want to re-watch the original series, so I thought this would be a good time to start a journal!
I prefer to watch only one show at a time. I've listed what I like under my interests. Not a long list, but I don't watch a lot of TV.
I don't expect much interaction on this journal, but if you've found your way here, welcome! Feel free to talk to me if you are so inclined, I'm happy to chat.
There will be no personal entries here. I do also have a personal journal; I enjoy reading/writing about day to day life, but have decided to keep that separate (ETA: I am taking a break from personal journaling for now). Albeit this is not a personal journal, it's still a journal, not a blog; that is, I am not here to speak in front of an audience, I am here to write down my thoughts and chat with friends, so please approach me in that vein. :)
